Miss (Madi) Madison Vandale
Tap Instructor's Assistant
Hello, my name is Madison Vandale but everyone calls me Madi. I’m super excited to get involved with the Tri-Community Dance Club and return to my tap shoes! I danced with the Performing Arts Warehouse in Prince Albert starting when I was 3 years old so 2004-2017. I have a background of Tap, Hip-Hop and Jazz. I spent 4 years assisting Tap and Hip-Hop at PAW. I’m from Prince Albert now living and loving the Tri-Community and currently a Grade 6 teacher at SMVS. During my spare time I enjoy fishing and being at the lake with my family and friends.
Paiton Tegstrom
Dance Instructor Assistant
I was born and raised in Melfort, dancing from 2005-2017 at the Melfort Dance Centre under the leadership of Paulette Puetz. Ballet & jazz were my primary focus but I did a few years of hip-hop and a year each of tap, pointe, & song & dance! I assisted 4-10 year old ballet and jazz from 2012 until I graduated high school in 2017. I have a certificate in Indigenous Governance & Politics and Bachelors of Arts in Psychology & Sociology from USask, after which I moved to La Ronge to become a child & youth therapist! I felt at home in the community right away and ended up with my (foster fail) NAR dog Dixie, who loves living by the lake as much as I do. I’ve been with TCDC since March of 2022, assisting with combo classes & some workshops. It’s been an absolute joy to get to know the kids & see them grow! I’ve attended LEAD at Canada’s National Ballet School twice & am passionate about access & equity, particularly inside the classroom/studio. I’m away for the year to pursue a degree in health & inclusive education from the University of Regina, but I’ll be back to visit!
Brandon Ganuelas (AKA Brand Zero)
Brandon Ganuelas (AKA Brand Zero) was born in Vancouver, BC and raised In Calgary, Alberta. Starting his breaking journey over 10 years ago in Calgary, Brandon has traveled both nationally and internationally competing and teaching. Representing the Fall-in Brotherhood crew, he has competed all across Canada in 1vs1, 2vs2 and crew vs crew battles. His accomplishments and drive allowed him to manage a dance studio in Calgary before covid and running a successful breaking team that won a competition called Battle City. More recently he has traveled to Los Angeles, CA competing in the 2022 world-recognized Freestyle Session World Finals (FSS) and intends to compete in more national and international competitions. After moving to Saskatoon, Sk in 2021, he has fully assimilated himself into the local dancing community. He has been teaching as a break dance instructor for Dance Saskatchewan, Def Sol studios and Pure Dance Energy while traveling across Saskatchewan in small towns such as Arcola, Moosmin, Tisdale and more. He fluidly incorporates lessons about anti-bullying and personal development all throughout hip-hop culture. Brandon will be undertaking a 4-week residency in rural Saskatchewan, teaching youth how to use breakdancing as an outlet for personal development and growth.
In his classes he goes over the origins of hip hop and explore the aspect of breaking which is one of the 4 things that created hip hop. With breaking he will be going through movements, rhythm, creativity, self expression, community and more. Students would have the opportunity to learn about a different style of dance that has now been accepted into the Olympics and learn about a culture while keeping in shape. Brandon would also give each student one on one training and take the time to ensure each student comes out with something out of each of his classes whether it's a new move, a new moral understanding, health and of course having fun while expressing themselves in a positive environment.
He will be doing drop-in classes and workshops with TCDC!
